Rebalance Legendary Sea Dog

@pampasweed I'm 48RB, 65GH, 71MA, 65OS, PL20 with almost every Legendary unlock and all Athena unlocks. I also have have the Gold Hoarder curse. I've been playing for just over a year. On top of that I have 63 wins in 77 games in Arena. Im no stranger to the grind and would hazard a guess I put more hours in every day then you do. The difference between us is I understand and recognize when something is unbalanced. This is coming from someone who has grinded in this game like you wouldn't believe. I dont want the game easier. I want balance.

@promotordj You talk as if I'm new to this game but im not. I understand how the grind works and have personally grinded for many of the Legendary commendations and completed a good many of them. I just understand when something needs to be rebalanced and I dont let my emotional "I got mine when it was absurd so everyone else should have to as well" attitude get in the way of that. I welcome the game being made more accessible for new players so it can be made more competitive in the long run. I also welcome difficult challenges and as I said I have completed many of them, but Legendary Sea Dog is more time then I put into the entirety of one of the best singleplayer games in the last few years, RDR2. How anyone can look at the hours required objectively and think that's balanced is beyond me, but that's the problem with you knee jerk "walk up and down a hill barefoot in the winter" types, you only think emotionally.

@sk-xenoglossy mmh, I have already completed everything, I play from day one without counting the beta, I have already completed the 240 victories in the arena and the commendable sea wolf, if you don't believe me check my nickname is PampasWeed on xbox. I find it very frustrating that people are constantly complaining about rebalancing the commendations. it's nice to complete these things over time, to have everything immediately and too easy ... you have to play and earn the commendations will be more satisfying the achievement of these. don't always complain

@terron29 game developers devalue all the work someone put in to something when rebalancing. Just because you had a hard time doesn’t mean everyone else has to have a hard time. It doesn’t revolve around you nor does it matter that much. I literally just want the weapons, I could care less about the title. Plus if Arena were any fun half the time it would be a non issue.

@ultimate-powa in someways I agree. its a little strange that the weapons are tied to arena, but it does make sense. pirates legends "should" be good at combat ... I do like the 100 flag idea though but im afraid that it would just be exploited by alliance servers and that would diminish their value and rarity. the reason im playing arena for them is cuz I know that I want those weapons unlocked, and even if I don't like the grind, once I complete it I know ill be one of the few people who have done it and it makes them that more special... sounds cheesy but once you've gotten to where I have been in the game, which you prolly have im guessing, after getting most of the stuff in the game its nice to have to work towards something.

@sk-xenoglossy I’ve been more than understanding of your post and provided a thoughtful response that was respectful of what you were saying. You’ve decided to become accusatory and label people with opposing viewpoints of your own as “emotional”. Glad you enjoyed your grind of of RDR2. Sea of Thieves is not that game and requires its own grind. Many of us have done it, so you can too. Devaluing other peoples effort of a game just so you can do it easier tells people you think your time is more valuable than anyone else. If you want to achieve the tough commendations and cosmetics, spend the time and complete them.

@baronbrr I like arena though, its not for everyone I guess. Personally I prefer the old arena but that's only because the new meta is to find an afk ship and pummel it full of cannonballs to gain points while one of your team board to keep it afloat the entire damn match, they need to fix that then this new arena will be superior to old one.

I literally just hit my 240th Win Yesterday...

Does it take a long time to complete? YES..
Does it feel good when you finally complete it? YES
Should you find a GOOD crew to always play with? YES
Do I think it should be changed? NO

There is a reason this is a Rare & Difficult Achievement to get along with your new fancy Arena Blundy, PL Sword, PL Sniper & PL Blundy.

Sloop Arena right now is probably your best way to go. YES Gally Arena might have some Match Making issues, but keep grinding and you will get there.

This is not the OLD ARENA anymore, so you should have no issues getting there since they Nerfed it (Personally in a good way)

This should not change and this is coming from someone that did the 240 wins when arena first came out. I then had to do another 100 wins for triumphant.

-The games were 24 minutes and are now 15min

-servers merge more often now to help you get games faster.

-Games are much easier to win as it is not related to RNG on which island you spawn next to and how many chests were on it

There is an investment but it is one of the only pvp investments in the game... I don’t see shorting the journey.

This play style is the worst. We ran into that so much this past week. My crew went after any crew that attempted this and made them regret their cheesy decisions. I hope they fix this soon along with the scuttle for extra supplies problem.

@terron29 I like Arena too, I just find it annoying over fun.

i dont see any harm in adding an adventure alternative. 1000 player kills or something like that. dont add the title to it but an alternative way to unlock weapon skins thats rewarded through attacking other players
