There's nothing on the patch notes saying about the cost of gold/doubloon, increased from 20 to 50 doubloons with no mention of it in the patch, is that a bug or something?
EDIT: isnt a bug.
The old value was fair in my opinion, the way it is now absolutely no one would trade even because doubloon is rarer than gold.

Yeah it was fair on the old system. Not anymore. If you sell 3 tomes books at reapers bones while having grade V reapers you get 25 doubloons per tome book. Reaper chest now sells for 60+ doubloons with grade V reapers.
I've played all time after servers went up, i've made more then 500 doubloons and 300k gold in 3 hours with Grade V. (And yes other ships tried sinking us, nobody succeeded :P)
@mentimjojo but reaper chest doesnt spawn everytime, looks unbalanced this new system and dont worth give 50 doubloons( 2.5x ) more than old patch to take only 10k gold.
@cap-leyz it wouldnt be fair anymore because doubloons now also get the 250% boost if you sell them as a reapers bones grade V emmisary, meaning the following:
