How to combat toxic players possibility by adding this?

You kind of give off the vibe of a troll to be honest, before you get defensive hear me out. You and I share this a bit, I would not consider myself a troll, as would you I assume. However, I would argue you are more toxic than the people you preach about.

I will start off with myself, I quite enjoy it when people get upset over trivial things in games. If I steal, say a chest, and they proceed to bombard me with Pm's, I will find that rather funny. Now here's the thing though, I don't go out of my way to provoke these. I rarely trash talk, and if I do its usually if they start it and I come out on top in the end. To end this line of thinking, I can relate, to an extent, to trolls.

However, you are on the opposite end of this. You clearly engage in the provoking behavior. I mean look at your opening post, you actively engage in behavior in provoking people. You talk about engaging in behavior that will illicit negative Pm's and getting people to rage quit. You also talk about wasting their time for the simple effect of enraging them. Removing context, that screams troll like behavior. Hell, I would argue that its quite toxic even. You even give the impression that you enjoy it as well.

One could make an argument that your behavior is worse, but I am not going into that, but its always interesting how those who talk the loudest about Toxicity in this game the loudest, tend to be just as toxic. Even the irony with trolling presents itself here. You clearly engage in trollie behavior, yet you like to think you aren't one.

I'll admit it is a little tiny trolling in it lol, but mostly to get the debate going and hopefully getting them to notice what's going on :)

I love the game but the community... it's really hard to explain, most that are still playing don't really notice or open their mind on the consequences to the majority on otherside or how it also affects them too.

But it would be interesting to see if it does get implemented, on how well does it benefit the community on this game plus new players and more staying, also benefiting SOT and it's employees, more updates (sometimes more isnt better too depends if it listens to community or not) and on.

plus the game review speaks for itself

Again you can't just claim statistics if you don't show proof. Or are you just making it up to fit your own narrative. Give me a link to a page that has more than 100 reviews of which most if not all negative ones are for toxicity, otherwise I find your claims made up.

Why not also add alliance history to show if they're known to betray also?
All I see are more pros and benefits for good players and also increasing more chances for new players to play and have a chance.

Why is this necessary and what exactly are the benefits for the "betrayers", all I see is selfish wishes that only suit your own playstyle. And I would also like to add that "Good players" don't have issues dealing with these "toxic angry kids" it is quite ironic how your own description of the 'problem' fits you yourself really well.

  • @linkline again, it's the xbox platform. Idk how it is on PC or PS4 I haven't played on there.

As I said before, even I am part troll at heart.

I love the game but the community... it's really hard to explain, most that are still playing don't really notice or open their mind on the consequences to the majority on otherside or how it also affects them too.

I think you have made the egregious error in assuming your side of things is the majority. I would argue that the majority are perfectly fine with people stealing and attacking ships. They themselves just see that as usual play in this game, while also seeing no reason to change that. Not all games appeal to everyone, that doesn't mean a company like Rare needs to change their game to appeal to them. By trying to appeal to everyone, you lose your primary focus and lose your target audience. Losing that isn't a good thing and will harm them in the long run.

But it would be interesting to see if it does get implemented, on how well does it benefit the community on this game plus new players and more staying, also benefiting SOT and it's employees, more updates (sometimes more isnt better too depends if it listens to community or not) and on.

I don't see this type of game deterring new players, it just deters the quit early crowd. Plenty of games just drop everyone together. Rust, TF2, Mordhau, and pretty much any game that has a server browser. These games still thrive and still pull new players. Even games with stiff learning curbs still pull in new players. I think the kind of people with this "Won't you think of the newbies?" attitude are only saying it to drive their own selfish goals. The primary example you see this from is the "PvE only server" crowd. These people probably don't care about new players, they just want to use them for their end goal.

  • @linkline I love how your screenshot "proof" of so many negative reviews just shows 2 reviews lol

  • @linkline Ah yes 2 reviews out of 50+thousand of the game on Xbox/Microsoft store. Nice one. 😂
