We’ve all been there, in the middle of a voyage on a sloop, then a friend gets in and wants to play, so why can’t you change ship side mid game? Have a option in the menu right below “Scuttle Ship” where you would be able to change the type of ship your playing on from sloop to brig or brig to galley or even back to sloop, it would of course scuttle your ship and then when you respawn it would be the type you selected. It would save a lot of trouble and I see no reason you shouldn’t be able to do this.

@anakins-ghost I agree but sadly I don't believe this can ever come to be because of server size limits. Unless they just make the option only available when there are open slots.
I'm 1000% in agreement! I cant count how many times I'm solo sloopin..mid Athena or skull fort...I get someone on my boat and then another wants to play and ends up waiting for 30 mins to over 2 hours to get in the game because we cant change boats...
typically the idea of joining is met with sigh yes let me finish this and turn in and I'll switch. We want to play with our friends but the idea of losing hours of supplies or quitting a mission halfway through is obnoxious.
Or the flip side, your on a gally and someone quits...everyone get off because we dont want to three man a gally? Start on a fresh server with a brig just to switch servers again an hour later when someone else leaves? Add in a toxic random that will most likely troll you?
none of that sounds like a good plan lol I get that there are server limits. But being able to switch boats up or down is a HUGEEEEEEEEEE difference that will benefit the game. Have an island where you can switch (as long as there is room on the server). When you change boats it server merges you onto one where you fit! New ship, and all your supplies! I'm even fine with being provided a storage crate to move the supplies over. Cant move the supplies from gally to brig in game code? Np give me a crate I'll do it lol
Just something lol right now the idea of friends joining my game is more of a hassle then a benefit lol
