Questions about these gifts.

So question 1 is: If a server merge happens, are they lost for good or do they go to another realm still to be counted?
Question 2 is: if I leave a bunch of gifts on the table under the tree, then go offline, will the game count them towards my commendations of somebody sells them or will I get nothing?

1: Gone forever I think. When a server merges, it's because one is underpopulated, so it nukes it and sends the remaining crews to a server that actually has people.
2: If you're offline when a gift is sold, you don't get progress towards the commendation unfortunately :(

@scrubber89 the fastest and easiest way is to seek out another ship and hand the gifts off. I fully completed all the gift commendations.

Im pretty sure you need to personally hand it over to another pirate & they need to sell it in order to achieve the commendation. I dont know if this is the only proven method but its what works for me.

You do NOT need to hand them over. Leave it under the "tree" or even let them sink you (I'd recommend the tree). You do still have to be logged into that instance for it to count, but I've left stuff at the tree and while off digging up presents gotten the commendation notice.

That being said. Check the Reaper's Hideout and turn in anything at the tree. You get dubs, and someone gets a completion tick...
