I feel like there should be a way to change the physical features on your character such as going from buff to skinny. I picked a large character at the start of the game just for the laughs, but the more I play the more I realize that I'm at a higher disadvantage than other players with small characters. I would much rather be able to continue where I left off while still having a new appearance rather than starting all over again.
More Character Customization
I'm always hoping they'll eventually let us customize our characters a little more in depth. I'm pretty happy with mine now, but there's definitely some things I'd like to tweak.
Though in the case of bigger pirates being at a disadvantage; the hitboxes are actually the same no matter what size your pirate is. Unless you were referring to some other disadvantage.
@VacaHombre (couldn't @ because apparently the first part of your name is restricted) I wasn't really talking about hit-boxes, though I can see why you thought that. I was mainly talking about the ability to "tuck" or hide from enemy players, as smaller players are harder to see than larger players. Even in combat, larger players are still at a disadvantage because of the size of them. For example, if the smallest player model in the game stood behind the mast of a ship you would not be able to see nearly as much of them as a larger player model.
I feel like skinnier player models have many more advantages than fatter player models. I think someone that starts to play the game just for fun and not take it too seriously might want to pick a fat character to get a laugh or two out of your friends, which I did, but once I started to want to take the game a little more seriously I regretted choosing that character and don't want to restart all over just for a new player model.
Ah, I see what you mean. It's slight, but those would be some advantages to a smaller model.
I'm pretty confident they'll at least give us a way to reroll our character (perhaps with a limit on how often we can do it). But no idea on time frame. I don't think it's really been discussed much in any updates or videos, so it's probably not too high priority.
