Kilts! and other cultural clothing!

    With the new addition of skirts and such for women i have found myself wanting my inner Scottish pirate to roam free on the sea of thieves and am currently wearing one of these as my battle kilt. But it got me wanting more ethnic clothing options if you know what i mean.

    Mainly I want to see some epic kilts and sporrans implemented, I mean they do live on the same island as you so its a little shocking they haven't made their way into the sea of thieves. but allowing people to further define their pirate based on cultural clothing would be really awesome and I'm sure would be loved by the community.

    and while im on the subject of clothing........Pirates had pockets, why not be able to stuff little hand held knickknacks like gems and curios into your pockets. it is the pirate way to loot as much booty as possible in one run right? and if you die all the loot falls out of you and ripe for the picking.

    To sum it up....
    -Ethnic Clothing
    -Kilts
    -Pockets for stashing little loot.

    That is all........Thoughts?

    @mr-dragon-raaar Thats true, but they can put in stuff like that without the whole "my team is america" thing. like take the admiral jacket for instance, it might not be red, but is similar to British admirals in the 1700s. doesnt have to be exact but similar.

    I love my battle kilt and would like something more similar to a kilt that shows less thigh xD

    id just hate nationalism to creep into the game. i'm dead set against national flags and the worry is that if any form of national dress was introduced then there would be calls for flags soon after.

    what skirt do you wear btw? none of them looked quite right for a kilt to me.

    @mr-dragon-raaar Im currently wearing the Beach Comber Skirt as my battle kilt, it was the only one long enough without any leggings, i would post a picture but i currently dont know how lol.

    @closinghare208 pft that hasn't stopped me from cutting down hostile pirates ;), people attack me because I wear legend gear or because I have the gold hoarder curse, that's nothing new :P

    Honestly I love the idea for more cosmetics but like @mr-dragon-raaar stated, it would be along the same lines of nationalism with flags.

    Not only that there is now the whole "cultural appropriation" nonsense that is happening around the world.

    Too many people being offended over nothing. They want to feel special so they create drama.

    Like how certain flags would offend some people, certain types of dress would offend others.

    Don't get me wrong, I would totally be up for it, however, it would have to be ALL or NOTHING.

    As in its all okay or none of it is.

    aka - People are stupid and need to grow up, stop being offended all the time.

    @xultanis-dragon You make a good point. and I also totally agree with people needing to not getting offended so easily xD. But in a game where a large group of male characters can run around in a dress, a knee high pleated skirt shouldn't be anything moo over lol. maybe not a sporran or anything like that, i can see how things like that could entice "cultural" conflict. I also agree with not adding national flags, pirates flew under no countries banner.

    Not sure why but they seem very anti culture which is kinda lame cause I’ve met so many people from around the world playing this game.

    It has a huge international player base and it’s awesome how we all end up in the same servers.

    I just remember the Flag wars...and if they wouldn’t go for a flag or sail from a country I doubt they would go for anything else.
