Too many skeleton boats to unlock the legendary cannons !

I'm almost at 500 and I haven't even really tried.

29 responses is way too small an amount to make any conclusion.

its not. 50 skelly ships isnt that hard, just kill every skelly you see. its not supposed to be easy

Got almost 50 just solo slooping. I’m sure if I crewed up with a group and hunted them I could get there faster. I think that’s the point of 500. If every PL logged on day 1 bought the cannons and logged off what would be the point?

I see a lot of posts about change this or change that. Which everyone is welcome with their thoughts and opinions that’s what a forum is for. However I think sometimes players forgot it’s about the voyage not the destination. Imagine all the different battles to make 500. I’m sure you’ll have a few stories that you couldn’t even make up if you tried. That’s the point of Sea of Thieves it’s the dynamic adventure you make every time you play.

@d4m0r3d it is not... 500 is for the legendary achievement which is required. I have over 120 since the introduction or something at this point. Level 5 is required and 500 skeleton ships.

@DISLEX-fx the numbers are the numbers, as someone that had all previous hundreds of hours ignored by Rare take my advice. Don't bother worrying about numbers and just do what you enjoy, the numbers will come and so will the cosmetics. Else you will be crushed at some point with a reasoning of well... we didn't bother tracking it so just start over, as we cannot be bothered with figuring out a way to compensate you for your commitment.

Because its sink 500 skelly ships. There are 2 commendations for sinking skelly ships. 1 be at 50 indeed but that is bildge rat which give u doubloon but not cannons.

Cannons is 500 after u hit PL.

@weakdexx ahh ok, so do the ones i get before PL count towards it or nah?

Leave it as is. Too many things have been made easier already.

The cannon one is locked behind Athena commendation which only unlocks and tracks sunken skelly ships after u hit PL.

So if u want cannons and u are NOT PL but been sinkin skelly ships... Well thats a b*mmer (wauw really b.u.mmer is not allowed?), these will count for Bildge Rat but not for Legend Cannon commendation. Sorry cap'n.

All Athena Commendations are locked behind PL. Any of the athena commendations u need to be PL first.

EDIT: To get a ship sunk tracked in commendations u DO need to hit it with at least 1 cannon. Taking out ships solely on bucket tactic makes it sink but not count. Found this out the hard way.

Well the 100 ship event to unlock is kinda correct. Albeit a lot. But if u want all the Legendary Commendation from Stronghold Keg, Ancient Bone dust, Stronghold chest and stronghold skull. U will need to finish 100 forts.

It is in line. Both need to be done 100 times to complete 100%

And yes Stronghold skull, chest and bone dust can be obtained randomly by taking out megs, krakens and ships. The keg tho u can only obtain in stronghold which u need 100 for Legendary Black Poweder title.

Yes, not everyone will be able to get this commendation. That's a good thing. I've seen a few comments recently about people having jobs and lives and not being able to sink as much time into the game as others. While I could understand this a bit more when the time limited events were much more restrictive, this commendation is over the life of the game, with no time restrictions.

Not everyone will have every item. I feel like MORE things should be harder to get. When I see these cannons, I want to say, Wow, this person has truly accomplished something few have. And I'm not saying this as someone with all the time in the world. Those cannons will take me ages to get. It's something to look forward to.

You can play this game as casually or intensely as you'd like, but to get everything, yes, you'll have to put the time in.

I'm down for keeping it at 500. I've just found a crew that is down to go fleet hopping nightly. It's a challenge for sure but we knocked out 6 of them in one session. Which reminds me Rare absolutely needs to implement some sort of visual cue for the clouds that lets people know it's about to fizzle out due to inactivity. A lot of time was spent trying to get a bare amount of supplies only to have the cloud die on the way.

Disagree. This game needs some sort of challenge for once.

I have them, even did fleets alone in my sloop, but thats nothing, I also have the legendary seadog and thats where you grow your chest hair.

I think is challenging, definetly not easy but is well worth it, if they would give them out easy everyone would have them and then they wouldnt be cool anymore.
