It’s just a thing, I’ve always had s hunch for said Coat, Dress and Hat, but I’ve always thought that it needs more pieces to become a better and most likely cooler looking set. Kinda like the Bone Crusher items, do something similar with the Barnacle set, if you please. Perhaps a sunken looking ship hull with barnacles, a more damaged and weathered looking sail, and maybe a Kraken figurehead for the ship.
Perhaps for the Clothing and Cosmetics, you could have a pincer or something for the hook, and a Kraken themed peg leg? Ruined outfit pieces, to a similar degree to the Coat and Hat, basically barnacled up!
For the weapons, perhaps they could be either entirely from dead creatures, say a Meglodon tooth for a sword, along those lines. Maybe they could be repaired with animal parts, or their skin, who knows? This is a mere suggestion.
