Found a painting of two mermaids holding a human over a portal.

    Unfortunately, I didn't grab a screenshot, nor do I remember which island! But I did use my amazing MS paint skills to recreate it! I don't think I've ever seen this painting before, or ever seen anyone mention it before. It was a painting of two mermaids holding a human being over what looked like a portal or maybe a whirlpool. It was on one of the larger islands, inside a small alcove in the side of a cliff. I think it may have been Mermaids Hideaway or Wanderers refuge.

    Maybe an indicator that mermaids will be transporting us to other lands!

    Ahoy there matey. I think I've seen this mark on Mermaid's Hideaway. That being said, I commend you for your amazing MS Paint skills!

    This guy has a series of videos on his interpretations of the cave paintings from the various islands, that I find plausible.

    I be more inclined to believe the two merfolk have "chosen" the poor blighter to be the next victim of the so-called "Curse of the Drowned." As the poem goes - and this be a very non-poetic run-down - the Merfolk choose from among the pirates that find themselves overboard to join their ranks. They then perform a special ritual, which begins the poor sailor on their journey to full Mer-dom.
