So when The Hungering Deep event first started, a few buddies and myself got together with another random crew and fought the Megalodon. It was originally 7 of us, us 3 and the crew of 4 randoms. As we returned, we spotted a solo sloop player waiting at Shark Bait Cove. We turned in and then jumped on the sloop, just messing around, when we spotted a Skull in the sky. As a joke, we jacked the guy's sloop (he didn't seem to mind) and the 8 of us rode off towards the skull.
We sailed clear across the map, mostly beating our drums, dancing, and just having a jolly time on this guy's sloop. I ended up jumping off and going back to get our ship, one of the other guy's from the original crew we were playing with did the same. The sloop continued on to the skull fort, where the 6 of them quickly took it down. Just as they were looting everything out of the fort, a random Galleon was spotted heading towards them. As a joke, my buddy started yelling out, "Let's group up and fight the meg on a sloop!!". We were all laughing and just having fun, but it turned out, this crew actually liked the idea, as most of them had not even fought Meg yet.
They were game and they followed the sloop towards Shark Bait Cove, where I was already plotting course of our Galleon. As I arrived, a storm had hit, so I anchored down to brace for the storm, alone on the ship, when I spotted another Galleon on the other side of the island. I busted out the speaking horn and started yelling over that we were about to go fight the Meg and that they should join us. Two of them were all about it, while the other two ladies they had, wanted nothing to do with it. Guess they had been fighting from the start, but since the crew was 2v2, there was nothing any of them could do but deal with each other.
While the ladies tried shooting up my Galleon, all the while the two guys from their crew were on my ship, helping me keep it afloat, the armada showed up, 2 other Galleons, along with our new pal with his sloop. We all anchored our boats, stocked everything we could onto the sloop, and set out on our epic quest...

(Sorry, I ended up getting killed, respawned back on our original Galleon, so I missed capture of the end fight, also, I REALLY wished it would have picked up our conversation, it was just so fun!)
We did come out on top though and bested the beast from the hungering deep!!
