Has the speed of ships been changed?

    A few minutes ago a galleon caught up with my full trimmed sloop tacking upwind. Has the latest update modified the speed of ships, or any other performance rating?

    I've never been caught by a galleon before, this is why I ask.

    Galleons are faster than sloops. They will always win a race when both are going full sails with the wind.

    If you're being chased by a galleon in a sloop; don't tack, just make sure that you go straight into the wind so the galleon can't get any wind in their sails at any point. If they come at you from an angle they might have a bit to close the gap and catch you though. Whenever you turned to tack they would have caught a bit turning to intercept you and that gave them the advantage
