At a skull fort a gallion crew had the key and only 1 man on ground while the other ran away as a distraction 1 guy kill us all with the sniper none stop with one shot he didn't miss a single shoot every shoot was a kill Nerf the pc people i got video of it they already have a fast loading game and alot of tools to hack stop all this nonsense now with cross platform!!! No other game has it because it doesn't work in a pvp environment always pc will be on top

Hacks can be a factor in play, from what I've seen offered in my research on the topic it mostly takes the form of ESP/Aimbot overlays.
This will always be an issue - it affects PC customers just as negatively as Console customers.
The actual percentage of "hackers" in this game is pretty low, and although unavoidable thanks to the nature of online games and the global population - it's neither as commonplace nor is it unpunished when found.
Therefore, report the issue, if possible provide video and certainly offer screen names to the security team of Rare/MS, they will defend their product and it's legal players with haste, at least according to their publicized stance on the topic.

First of all, there's no such thing as head shots in Sea of Thieves.
The sniper does 80% of your HP in damage, regardless of where it hits on your body.
So all i can say is, eat your bananas... Even snipers need to shoot you twice to kill you... So make sure you're always at 100% HP, if your health is at 80% or lower, 1 sniper bullet instakills you.
Even then, if the player really is a hacker, report them to Rare, do not whine about it on the forums, that doesn't help anyone.
@sweltering-nick i dont know if thats entirely true. Ive definitely one shotted people boat chasing me with sniper rifles. But, it is possible they werent at full health when it happened.

fast loading game - maybe thats why console costs 400$ and good pc is over 1,500$.
tools to hack - you've got them too
mouse is better than controller in aiming

They weren't at full health. Happens more often than you'd think, people forget to heal up.

it's 100% true, They must have damage and didn't bother healing. We have all made that mistake at least once before.
