Does anyone else find this extremely annoying? How do you think this could be sorted?
Making the ship stuck on deck or between rocks then leaving.
@xtrudlederpx As @Mr-Crack-Man also states, it's almost impossible to make your ship really unmovable. Sails up and turn the wheel, it'll start moving one direction or the other.
I've got it stuck between rocks, between the beach and a cannon tower, between a rock and the harbor or randomly on top of the beach but always managed to get away. The game is fairly forgiving in this matter.
If you find it extremely annoying as you stated, it can be sorted quite easily.
Learn to sail and don't get your ship stuck. 100% of the times I got stuck, it was my own fault.@xtrudlederpx
If you get stuck, raise sails and turn your wheel right until the boat won’t move anymore. Then crank it left. You should be wiggling out of it.If you have treasures on board, why quit the session? If you scuttle there’s at least a chance you can come back and retrieve the treasure. Considering you’re stuck, I’d assume you’re near land where you can offload before scuttling and guarantee it’ll be there unless someone finds it.

@mr-crack-man I have tried that but the rocks were quite tight and also what if you still had treasures?
Hide the treasure as best you can on shore, scuttle ship, hop mermaid, and high-tail it back.
I've had my ship stuck one, and only once. It was when I was trying to park at the dock in a way that I had no business trying to attempt. But I was cocky so I did it anyways. I got tight enough to the dock that the rod got stuck between 2 dock beams, and no matter what, I could not work it free. Turn right, hits the dock post and stops. Turn left, hits the dock post and stops. About the only way that this would have worked would be potentially ramming the dock hard enough to cause damage, and hope you slide backwards.
Generally, the easiest way to get unstuck is as said above, raise your sails, turn all the way in one direction, and as you become to come unstuck, SLOWLY add some speed till you're free.

Offload them, have crew member standby with them or hide them and mark the island then return with a new ship...
@fishst1ck Almost. If you get really unlucky with wind direction and calm seas, and happen to crash in an angled pier (with your bowsprit stuck between two bloody lantern poles) then it can be a nightmare.
My very first day that happened to me ... Took me a good hour to get out (because real pirates don't scuttle)... The terrifying part was a when a galleon turned up just before it dislodged!

But you did get out :)
I actually had a similar thing at the first Skull Fort we won, spent 2 hours fighting loads of different ships. After defeating the skeletons, a crew member decided to park it closer for the treasures and he managed to get it stuck between land and a cannon tower. The ship did move but just kept stopping on land or against the cannon tower. I took a good while before we managed to get out only to be attacked by the kraken before we reached an outpost.
