Not much of a forum poster here. Perhaps it's already been discussed before but is there ever anything in the flotsam aside from planks/cannonballs/bananas?
Feels as though occasionally a chest could be floating amongst all that. Perhaps the odd powder keg to trip up an unwary captain. Just a thought.
@drakon-x12 dear sweet kraken balls. If there was even a chance a powder keg was in the floatsom it would be grand. Especially since i see alot of people just drive right through the floatsom
Yeah. I mean. I guess most are like me and mostly ignore the flotsam. But if there was something else floating in there on occasion (gunpowder barrel, chest, crate of spices etc) it would help with immersion and make sense thematically. Also probably wouldn't be too difficult to add. Not that I'm a game designer or anything. Haha.
@drakon-x12 a gunpowder keg might be a bit much, especially for a solo sloop player, not even sure he could recover from it, not sure if it would be at all visible either from the helm.
Ah yeah. Fair point. Hadn't considered that. But still. You gotta be for the occasional chest? 😁
@sir-rhavi I don't mind the idea of more open sea clamities.
True the solo sloop will have it harder but that's were the skill gap comes in.
skill gaps are very important here to keep things intresting.
Being aware of the danger and being able to use it to your advantage is what makes you the best pirate

It can be recovered from as long as you were to notice it straight away. Hitting a gunpowder keg will blow about 4 holes in the boat, I've recovered from worse in my 1 man sloop.
