Stronghold Fort Bug

    Okay so basically we killed the captain, got the key, and ran from like 2 other ships. We did a big circle. 15-20 minutes later we went back to the SAME fort only to find the door open and half the loot missing (most expensive loot).

    1. How did the door open?
    2. Why was half the loot gone? (Another crew probably)
    3. How long does it take for the loot to despawn?

    But the 1st question is the most important. Why did the door open when WE had the key on OUR SHIP the WHOLE time?

    Does going to far away from the fort with your key bug the fort/loot or something????

    Yeah I have no idea what happened. We had the key. Drove away. Waited about 15-20 mins. Went back and the door was opened with the stronghold chest/skull and 2-3 items missing as well....

    Only thing I can think of is they also had a key from another fort, and possibly used it on our fort when the loot spawned. IDK .... super fishy.

    @xpial that may need to get looked into if it happens to more people. hopefully it was a one-off bug and you won't see it happen again.

    @xpial I'm curious: did you have the stronghold key after finding the door opened? It's possible that someone snuck on your ship and took it for themselves.

    No we had the key whole time.

    What we think happened was the other crew might have had a key themselves. Apparently keys work on other strongholds, but people were getting "no loot". However, I think most people were trying without the Skull which is why no loot was spawned. Regardless, this is the 2nd time something like this happened. 1st time we came back and no loot was in the room. 2nd time the door was opened with half the loot gone.

    Also, you can check to see if the loot is there if you go above the room and look through the cracks.
