Soloing Tips for Newbs

  • Ok. People saying this game is unsoloable. I soloed online games since WoW launch n like other online games, this game is no different. Im a introvert n kinda hate people so i mostly solo. After trial and error i got a few tips i learned by soloing n by trial and error for us Forever Alone Pirates:

    1. Do one quest at a time andreturn them. Unless u feel like losing alot of loot by being boarded by a galleon or sanked to Davey Jones Locker n lose loot n gold. Do the quest then turn it in before embarking again. If u confident to do more than one be my guest.
    2. Be on the look out all the time. Gey on the Crows Nest look around . see a ship comming dont risk it.keep moving.
    3. Wehen returning to port, clock for other ships. See any be a ninja n pull in on other side or find a port thats clear.
    4. If u under attack just run of its a galleon. U not gonna take on a full crew by yourself unles you are Jack Sparrow.
If u the attacking other pirates PvP kibd of person these helped me.
1.see them before they see u. Dont swim if u can help it, cannon yourself on the ship in a blaze of glory (If you got good aim)
    5. No one on ship at port? Swim and sneak on. Hide. Take em out once tey embarked n gotca treasure or quest item (excluding live animals) Its risky but i suceeded 3/5 times.
Treasure hunting: by yourself while u look for the chest u will be under undead attack. Hear for animals freaking out or zombie sounds. Onc u got chest BOOK IT!
Last tip: soloing u wont be making much fast unless u git gud and do multiple quests at once. When u see a sunken ship, for Cthulhu's sake get dowm there and plunder whats in wreckage. Its free money down there to be made!

    1. Don't anchor at islands or outposts. You can use your anchor to stop, but immediately raise your sails and then your anchor (in that order). Your ship won't float away, but if you spot a hostile ship coming you can get back on your ship, lower the sails and immediately start moving. Those precious few seconds can save your treasure.

    2. Following on from 6, turn your ship facing away from the island before you get off. If your anchor and sails are both raised you can turn your ship without moving anywhere.

    3. You're fast and you're agile. Use this to your advantage. If you're being pursued by a Galleon, try and go through areas that are dangerous for them to pass through (like between rocks). Also try sailing AGAINST the wind, if possible. A Sloop is faster than a Galleon when sailing against the wind.

    4. If you're being pursued and absolutely can't get away, sail so that you'll pass an outpost. Then as you pass, take your most valuable loot and jump overboard. They will probably keep pursuing your ship so just hide underwater until they pass, then hand in your loot. That way you at least get something.

    5. If the above isn't possible and they're going to catch you, throw a chest overboard. If you're lucky they might stop to get it, giving you time to get away. If they don't stop just keep throwing loot overboard. If you can't have the loot, neither can they. :P

  • @crunchyotaku83 Great tips! I wanted to add to your solo vs galleon strategy for #4.

Try to dictate the engagement, a solo player with good aim and position can hit a galleon from a pretty far distance. If you can control how far you are from the galley, you can get some good shots in before you have to go against wind and outrun them. I had some success sinking galleys with this strategy. Be forewarned, once the galley is broadside to you......it's pretty much time to set sail and take out your bucket, because you're going to need it.

  • @f0rbidth3mak3r so true to that. N have ya planks handy. Lol
