@ghost101mm No! Our progress should be reset as it has been after every testing period. Isn't there a unique, otherwise unobtainable, skin we are being given instead anyway?
@ghost101mm mmmm I see where you are going, but I'm ok with starting fresh....However it WOULD be pretty cool of the pioneers and founders got special outfit packs...and maybe something for beta testing like a pet.

Nope. I've played in the tests too and I do not want my progress to carry over and have a head start on launch.

i think it shouldn't, because it's gonna give advantage to us over the other players.
plus that some people may not have liked the pirate that they chose, and would like to choose a new one, (i'm one of those people) so if the progress crosses over, me and other people will be stuck with those ugly scurvy dogs forever.

That would be unfair to people who couldn't devote as much time or just didn't want to overhype themselves. It would give us testers a head start to Legend which kind of makes actually achieving that rank seem less special. I would prefer if Founders or Pioneers got their own special cosmetic or title, anybody who participated in the CLOSED beta gets their own, and anybody who participated in scale tests would also get their own. It short of shows levels of help.

@ghost101mm Even if it is just skins, it's still a headstart. Anybody who earned the full Admiral set would start with it without putting much time into the actual release version.

I think that would severely hurt the balance of the game from the get-go. It would be very unbalanced as trading company progression, gold count, and more would be impacted.
The devs have already stated that everything will be wiped for release and I'm 100% behind a clean start!

@ghost101mm Definitely not, It would be unfair to have such an advantage over players who did not have access to the early game. Although I would like the idea of receiving a special cosmetic for being apart of the beta.
At least I would like to have the OPTION to keep my pirate from the scale test. Then I would have to CHOOSE if I want a new pirate or keep the one I used, because I really liked his appereance. Of course some people would prefer to have a new pirate but I liked mine so making it OPTIONAL would fine for me. Just the pirate himself, I don't care about the gold or the cosmetic sets or the level with the gold hoarders.

Good idea, I like the sound of a reward like that.
I’ve been active in a few betas for various games and not a single one of them have ever transfered progress into the move version of the game. I have however seems few games reward players for being apart of the beta with unique rewards such as GoW 3 had gold weapons unlocked through challenges during the beta.
I laughed my [Mod edited] off with the toothless hook handed old hag I picked in the first beta, but wouldn't mind picking a new pirate. I miss the 700k gold I earned last year, but that won't bother me if I get a cool reward for being in the alpha, and a pioneer reward too...
Maybe Rare will honor me with the Chest of Bones cursed chest I have been proposing for the last year+☺Maybe a title but in a progression raced game giving the beta testers an advantage makes it too difficult for new players to get the groove of things, it’s like failing to be on a darkfall server as soon as it launches, the territory wars are over, the alphas are decided, and the noobs are lambs to the slaughter.
