I know of some highly opinionated people who do not want to join any mailing lists for various reasons.
So maybe make the surveys accessible via in-game click-able links/QR codes.
As a side note, the in-game "what's new" can be better.
It's full of "refer to this not-clickable link". It can be at least a click-able link, or open up a much larger window/page/tab to explain what the event is about.

Sounds fine. But you have players who still don’t k ow you can access the emporium from the main menu, News articles are shown or access ingame settings from main menu.
In short: ingame survey will be over looked still.
Or some won’t even care.
Giving a reward for filling out a survey probably wouldn't be a great idea, since all I'd have to do is check the first option down all the lists. They're looking for honest feedback here, and now's the time to get things off your chest. I want to give feedback in hopes that the game gets better, not for any cosmetic or currency reward.
@raft2c7c well I'm an insider that plays it every week and on the mailing list and hardly ever get the surveys so who knows how it even gets sent out and who they choose to get them....

They actually did this a week ago or so: When starting the game, the pop-up showed a qr code to a survey.

I just launched the game. I don't see it.
@raft2c7c Had this at 6th of June. Probably won't be in today's release any more since I pretty much assume it's an end-season survey.
I personally prefer the E-Mails because when I'm about to start a session, I don't want to fill a survey (while I can answer a mail while waiting for the bus), but I thought it was cool they offered it through the game for players who don't engage with SoT outside of the game.
Edit: You can still use it, but it's a very short survey. Makes sense though, as people not interested enough to get the mailing list will probably only take 5 minutes out of their day instead of the 15 needed for the other survey
