@europa4033 exactly the vaults give you so much gold from just one of them. It's not hard to do an eternal guard. The new players can make so much money in just one session from doing just those. The roar has become dead again so not many people will even bother you over there.

^^^This.
It’s not about how hard it is to “find Gold” it’s about the large time consumption it takes to get even a well amount of gold in the first place
Made a couple million within a few hours (would been less but other ships) just making a circle around the map, doing Shrines/Camps/Fortress. That also not sailing with an emissary. You can run in and out of those locations without much troubles it shocking players want to make gold faster and easier when already is.
Add in the random loot picked up from beaches as I pass by.A few hours, I say, because I circled the whole map and visited multiple locations. Now I just picked one section of the map, say DR? and did those two Gallarions, again another simple and easy thing to do with little downtime. It all comes down to the players managment of time, which is a skill you learn in life. :P

What is a Gallarion?

Imagine someone says cosmetics are overpriced, and your response is to lecture them about managing their real-life time better.
Making money is incredibly easy in this game. My first three months or so as a total newbie I spammed Athena shipwrecks in the roar after someone introduced it to me. I almost wish I needed money so that I could be motivated to grind gold again. I had a great time doing that and made a killing. Grinding for gold/doubloons is something that gives the game more meaning, but for most people, gold is meaningless.
There are many easy, fairly safe ways to get gold fast. Anyone can do it at any skill level.
@burnbacon Do you think you proved something slightly? Remember not everyone has all the time in the world. First off, It’s obvious you wouldn’t have even did half of that in the shoes of a newer player/RV. From what you told me, you probably only made around 100k/150k (with grade 5) doing those events, nowhere close to a “couple millions”. After all that effort you still can’t even afford a Captain Ship, we just have to do that all over again right? My point still stands clearly, the voyage’s still hardly pay for the amount of time and money they want you to spend. Nothing has changed, I don’t know who put that in your head, the game maybe be a little different from your beta build you players cling to so desperately, but few has changed we all know Rare leaves old things broken. Don’t even brother trying to spin that narrative “If I can do they can too” because if that was the case newer players wouldn’t have issues.
This post is ragebait isn't it ?
Any player who played Sea of Thieves for an extended period of time unlocked all cosmetics, hundreds of them, with hundreds of millions of gold.
I don't think they are expensive, if anything, the newer cosmetics are nicely priced (around 900k for Reapers guns for instance). Most cosmetics you can buy in gold are dirt cheap (less than 50k) while you can make 200k in about 1h solo slooping and doing a random emergent World Event.
There is more expansive one, and it is, in my opinion, a good thing.
