This might have already been said, but factions like Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Hunters Call, and Merchants should all have their own hideouts just like Athena has their hideout, and the Reaper has their underground lair.
-When I unlocked the Reaper Lair yesterday, the interior was so sick inside, and I loved it; it was so big and unique, and the grind was just so worth it.
Hideouts should always be unlocked with a shanty, and in order to earn that shanty, you would have to do a lot of grinding, let's say level 100-150, and maybe some specialized challenges in order to unlock each hideout.
The hideouts should be spread across the map, and they shouldn't all just be underground; it could be way more fun than that.
Ideas:
-Inside a mountain with a view of the ocean
-Underwater
-Behind a waterfall
- In a gated port or something like that
-in a big cave
-underground
-even in a big building that the doors only unlock when you play a shanty (something like seadogs tavern)
-etc.
Each hideout would be decorated accordingly to the theme of the faction. They would have a lot of detail, have NPCs mining or working/moving around (just like in the Reaper's lair, where there are skeletons mining gold). Each hideout has to be unique too, it can't just be a copy of paste of other hideouts, that's what is gonna make people want to grind every faction, so they could unlock a cool new part of the map.
Think of it like this:
-gold hoarders' hideout underground with vaults of gold and layers with npcs and more
- merchant hideout at a secret port with rafts of supplies
-hunters call behind a waterfall
-order of souls under the water or at a graveyard on a dark island
So many more ideas and obviously there needs to be special cosmetics for every hideout (exclusive to the hideout npcs)
I think that sot needs to focus less on cosmetics but more on adventure and grinding quests for new locations and yeah.
