Ideas for New Weapons in the game

  • Firstly, the boarding Axe. A tool where you can slowly board ships, climb small ledges of rocks and land, like an iceaxe. You can use it offensively and defensively. With the boarding Axe, you can do light attacks and heavy attacks. heavy attacks can deal devastating damage to your enemies. To balance it out, it has to be a slow attack made up for its damage when landed. light attacks can be used to parry swords slashes and bullets. This is mostly for defensive purposes but it still does small amounts of damage. You cannot guard/block with this weapon. light attacks are your defensive properties. You are to move the camera, parrying the attacks from where you getting hit if you hitbox is matched correctly.

    Secondly, Clubs. Clubs are small damaging knockback weapons where its defensive properties relay on its knockback. every swing can deal small amounts of damage being stacked up when uninterrupted, like the sword, but it stacks up to about 5 hits. You cannot block with this weapon.

    Lastly, Crossbows. Now Crossbows can work like the throwing knives when receiving your ammo back. Odds of getting that arrow back would be 10%-5% but the unique thing is you can craft your own ammo using planks of wood. To balance this out, you're going to have to need something from the ammo crates to craft your bows. Or make it so of how long it would to take to craft each every single arrow. You have 5 arrows. 5 shots. you can pre- charge every shot like when you unequip the crossbow and its ready to be used. Arrow Varieties could work nicely if you can craft the green cursed cannonball on to your Crossbows.

  • Axe. With hit reg, the parrying mechanic is likily unworkable. Having to time and match the hit boxes is too much. Better to make it just like the sword but lose the combo and lunge in return for other abilities.
    Attack 1: 25 hp no combo.
    Hold Attack 2: block, sword, axe including lunges but not knife coz axe is too slow.
    Hold Attack 1 and release: 75 hard swipe, if it makes contact with the side of a boat you ice pick up by hitting attack 1 over and over. It makes a top of noise.
    New feature, widen hole, hold to interact with an existing hole to increase it from Teir 1 upto max level. Each level increase takes 30 seconds and generates a ton of noise.

    I do not see the point of the other two. They need to provide a different play style and incourage a paper sissors rock style of combat.
