Supplies

  • With the recent fix of double or triple buying supps, I think its fair to make the amount of supps you can buy scale with your crew size. For a solo the current supplies are enough, but for a full gally crew and even for a duo sloop its not enough when you want to play pvp.

You can still multi buy supps

  • @worst-tdmer
When i try to multibuy crates with my duo I only get 1 crate instead of 2

  • its not enough when you want to play pvp.

From what I read. The supplies regardless of they double or triple. It’s never ever enough.

  • @huibuh34 they should just let everyone individually buy once

So people with an alt (or maybe a second Pirate on their profile) can buy supplies and then log off that account and log in with their primary account ?

  • @huibuh34

It still works, but sometimes crates just get bugged. There's the bug where it shows you the crate is there but you can't grab it, and a new one where it looks like there is no crate to grab. If neither of you missed the timing, you should be able to buy captaincy or a spear and then you can grab the crate.

There's also other ways to multi buy crates without the countdown/timing.

  • @lem0n-curry why would anyone do that, that would be maximum effort for minimal profit :p

You can already dive to a new outpost to keep buying supplies

  • @lem0n-curry
Why would anyone ever do that? No one needs that many supps

To have more than their opponent obviously...
If your crew and the other crew can get 5 pineapples each, wouldn't you like to have 10 each ?

Or to have supplies for the next fight (assuming the first crew you fight, spend most of their supplies).

  • @lem0n-curry
When my duo and I multy-buy supplies (fruit and meat), they usually last ~5 fights. Sometimes when we finish our hg session, we even have more food than at the beginning.

No one needs 5 alt-accounts just for the reason of buying more supplies. At a certain point, it doesn't matter if you have 10, 20 or 100 pineapples.
But there is all the more difference whether you have 4 or 10 pineapples

  • Surely...if noone exploits buying supplies...everyone would be more equal, so removing folks exploiting would be better....rather than just allowing everyone to exploit...? 🤷‍♀️

Deal with the supplies you have rather than wishing you could figure out how to exploit the same as others?!

Never said you'd need 5 alt accounts, but if a galleon crew all use their alt account it would take about the same amount of time as one using theirs.
Most people who cheat to get one extra crate of each will use cheats (or cheese) to get multiples.

  • @lem0n-curry
Multi-buying supps isn't a cheat or do you need third party programms to do it?

It's unintended, it gives people using it an unfair advantage and IMHO cheating isn't confined by using third party software/hardware, but if you want to call it just an exploit is fine by me.

It's not that I can report you for it - perhaps when I notice two people from the same crew walking away from the Merchant with the same crate(s), but that's very unlikely.

  • Currently I would be happer if I always got the supplies I bought instead of being short changed in one session and randomly given double in the second.

Extra supplies only matter at the very start of the session or just after being sunk. If you are alive for 15 to 20 minutes you should have more than enough by raiding barrels.

    So aside from consistency.

    1. scale the supplies to ship size a bit more, sloops are fine as is.
    2. meat purchased from shipwright should be cooked
    3. add in a meat/fish crate to hunters call shop. It has 4 of each meat type (uncooked & not meg oor kracken)
    4. if you raise HG you can buy one bonus storage crate from the Stanger or skelly at each outpost, this has extra supplies scaled to the ship size including chain shot but not meat. Crate resets after each time you are sunk.
    5. Red barrels at sea forts respawn every 15 min as well and each one always has 2 chain, 2 blunder and 2 fire.

    .
Result. Faster Hg turn around & resupply after a big fight. More time sailing in adventure and if you really what a ton more supplies, sea forts pretty much always have 150 cannon, 6 chain and 6 BB/FB.

None of this is game breaking and is more than enough supplies.
