Trans flag to sea of thieves 🏳‍⚧

    Other companies are on board and there’s even the emoji everywhere 🏳‍⚧, why can’t I hoist my colors in sea of thieves? I know there’s the progress flag, but it’s not the same, it just doesn’t nearly hold as much meaning. Especially now when I feel more called to represent than ever.

    It would really mean a lot to me and other transgender pirates are on the sea. And what is being a pirate if not defying norms, being yourself and freedom? And pilfering and plundering, of course.

    @chronicmeowr first issue is the number of minors in this game and there already a big issue of the movement being forced on minors. The second one i dont think your thinking of is how hard you will be targeted because of how toxic the community is just to have fun, iv watched a number of ships that chase me just vear off and attack another ship for the pride flag to the point if I see one I kite the chasers over to them so I get away scott free.

    The rest of your post has valid points about being targeted or harassed for using the flag, because people suck.

    But seeing something is not 'forcing it' on them.
    I mean, we don't say romantic comedies are 'forcing heterosexuality on gay people', do we?

    It's a BS line that really says 'Be invisible, because people don't want to see you'.
    Now, that clearly was not your intention; Nothing in your post is dismissive or hostile. But that's how the 'forcing it on the children!' line is used by people who DO want to be hostile towards the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

    Again; It's clear you did not mean that. But that's how that is excuse really comes off as in many situations.

    As has been pointed out for other ideas in the past: This is not a realistic or period-accurate game.
    So your final point is nothing.

    The usual excuse of 'I don't want to see it, so go back to hiding'. Nah, man. We don't do that around here.

    It shouldn't have to be a long and complicated process to implement things like this, but it is. With that in mind, adding a flag that represents everyone over having to go over that process with a large number of flags and risking still having some folks feel left out because their specific flag was not included, was the better option.
    While it is absolutely understandable to want to fly ones own colors alone, at this point in time it is just not feasible to be able to include a large amount of individual flags or a smaller amount at the risk of having some feel left out.

    With that I will be dropping anchor here.
