Suggestion: Only allow Pirate Legends to participate in Hourglass matches.

    Another week of fight nights, another week of running into hackers. It may be impossible to totally prevent hacking in this game, but I think that Rare needs to get creative with preventing hackers on certain aspects of the game.

    For Hourglass, I suggest that only Pirate Legends can participate in it. Besides making sense on a level of only ensuring experienced players can do it, it will also prevent hackers from making a new account and doing Hourglass immediately. They would have to grind to Pirate Legend, likely hacking during that time, and will be caught before they get a chance to participate in Hourglass.

    Please consider this as so many matches are getting ruined by hackers, and people who were excited to play Hourglass are not getting discouraged from ever doing it again.

    Takes 30-45 or hour to reach PL
    If you plan it out. Not difficult as many think. (Use to be)

    PL is a joke milestone now days. Nobody cares
    Should be locked behind having one or maybe two factions passed lvl 100, maybe..

    Since it’s Athena and reaper fighting. You should reach 75 for both factions before you can dive for hourglass

    They have said they are planning to implement some form of faction requirement but no specifics or time frames yet sadly.

    It is quite frustrating how they've said they're going to implement things like this but even after many updates and apologies around the amount of hackers still reaping the seas.. nothing. We have a week of fight nights which sounds fun until you start queueing and run into naked fresh alt accounts that are either just really good players or hackers. Sure some good players may make alt accounts to not get recognized but generally, the only reason outside of that to make an alt is because you don't want to risk your main getting banned.. I don't mind sinking to a good crew but even if they're a good crew, if they are on an alt account generally with SOT inserted in it somewhere, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

    Good idea but a small problem. Hacker just has to have access to a PL alt account or open crew until they find one doing HG. Unless Rare wants to limit HG to captained ship or track who started the HG and band by association this will not work.

    I would like it to be that you have to be fly either Reapers or Athena emissary to do HG.

    @burnbacon That might be a bit too restrictive. You're right PL is not difficult to achieve, but the goal isn't to make it hard, just require a time commitment before new accounts can dive for HG. I do like the athena and reaper requirements idea since those are the factions, but 75 athena without using HG would be a huge grind for a new player.

    Just requiring PL might be a bit more balanced, it wouldn't be hard per say, but it would require 30-45 hours of game time like you said before a new account could use the hourglass. Just trying to limit cheaters from making a new account and jumping straight into HG, not newer players all together.

    @miserenz It sounds like you are afraid one person on a crew would meet the requirement for HG and get their hacking teammate into the queue with them, similar to a pirate legend voting down an athena quest for a non pirate legend to do. Easy work around is that your whole crew has to meet whatever requirement they set before they can even have HG raised.

    That is a good point. Also once it is voted down only indivduals meeting that requirement should be allowed to join the crew as well. Ok I am on board with this idea.

    Being a PL doesn't guarantee skill or PvP ability at all. I barely ran into anyone during my run. And it also makes zero sense for the reapers to require you join the Athenas, their greatest enemy, in order to fight for them

    A crew of one meets that requirement. Once raised, invite other accounts that don't meet requirements. Having the ship get kicked out of HG if someone joins that doesn't meet the requirements creates a whole new set of problems.
