with gold and glory and community weekends theres really nothing special about fight nights other than offering a cosmetic unlock. i guess making it the only part of the game receiving a bonus might put more people into the que so less wait time for matches? i just dont see the point in having an event with the same boost as the other events but limiting it to a smaller portion of the game unless you are going to make the boost significantly higher than the other special events
shouldnt fight nights be 4x reputation?
That would be insane.
That’s like getting almost 2 levels per fight. 3 or 4 if you are less than 50 or 60 levels.
I think @xDragonMan15558 is right in saying that 4X is a bit much, but I definitely agree with your post that more could be done than one cosmetic unlock for each faction. I'm sure there are loads of time limited commendations they could come up with. Win a fight while wearing a specific costume, hit someones boat with your pet, win a sloop, brig and gally fight, win with a specific weapon loadout, kill a player with a cannonball, team up to sink a third party, win with open crew etc. etc. I really haven't put any thought into any of those; they're just the first things that came to mind. Point is, you're right and I'm sure there's loads of ways they could make the week more interesting and fight themed than just "gold and glory but less".

They do weekend event, people complain, they do week long event, people complain.
Strange entitlement. Why not just give you a button you can press to unlock the curse and save you time
Aren't you just complaining about someone else?
OP made a good point. No need to harass them with put downs when they are simply asking to make the event more of a stand out from G&G.
I would suggest that 4x is a lot, but 3x might be a good idea. Considering it's still challenging for most players, the 3x would make a lot more come flocking to the event and it would probably make it more memorable having all those players giving HG a try.

How about 2.5x?
It’s not too crazy and it still gives a good amount of rep per fight.
I really don't mind if it's 2x, 3x, 4x. I have both curses but I'll still show up because HG can be fun during these events.
tbh, 2.5 sounds fine, and even 3x wouldn't ruin the game. I'm just trying to advocate for the newer players who might need that extra boost to allegiance to feel like getting their curses is obtainable. Let's be honest, most of the player base can't make SoT their full time job and grind out HG for the curses,. Maybe they just get stomped a lot in HG as well or feel like getting to level 100 is too daunting.. So, starting high, with like a 3x boost and then lowering it if it becomes a problem is much better imo than just keeping it low and having most people pass on the content. Fight Nights should be about getting as many players to try HG as possible. I already know that most regular HG players will still show up regardless.
Ultimately, it's up to Rare to make the decision.@thamb0 the stand out is that it's a week long event with just that one aspect boosted. For g&g it gets diluted having boost on everything so there's less focus on specific areas and things like matchmaking queues don't benefit as much.
I am complaining about the general attitude because I feel for the devs. They can never do enough. An entire week of double rep is an opportunity for people to get a massive amount of progress to hourglass factions, yet there is always demand for more.
@hiradc I agree with you, some people demand more especially on the season 17 announcement trailer, but this is different, even 3x or 2.5x would work. Just something that'd make fight nights different from gold and glory, you know? Not like a crazy boost even, we're not asking for more. We're asking for a small change.

Nah. Make it 10x
That way we can lose farm and get out of this mess already. They should call it "Not-Fight Night" though.
@lem0n-curry I'm gonna spend a week running to balance it out, maybe a newly named sloop flight night 🤣🤣

Just because it's a week long doesn't mean everyone will still get to play it a bunch. Many people are busy in their lives. So, them seeing that they have a few hours to play SoT and seeing that the boost is 3x-4x might make them seriously consider trying HG. Now multiply that by the thousands of people possibly in the same boat and HG would be poppin. I played the last Fight Nights, which was 3 days long if I remember, and although it was fun, I still ran into the same people often.
I don't think people are complaining, but simply asking a question, which is: Why not just add a little extra rep to the fight night to make it stand apart from G&G? Who is it going to hurt? Is it really that difficult for the devs to make a slight change? HG is on life support, so why not do everything to try and get as many people back into it, even if it's only for one week? I don't understand players that want to complain about others asking devs to make the rewards a little more substantive. Yes, 4x may seem like a lot to players like us who are going to grind the whole thing, BUT I would wager MOST people who are going to try HG are players on the fence and deciding how to spend their limited time in the game. Catering to those for this event is a great way incentivize more to try it and hopefully continue coming back, whilst also rewarding players that have stuck with the dying game mode all these years, with a nice, large boost to their levels. It literally hurts no one to simply ask.
