@grantsby I guess everyone's experience is a bit different. I've found no Ancient Meg loot from the Wallows yet, while finding more of the meg bits from those than from emergent kraken/meg encounters. Oh well, as long as we're enjoying the voyage. :-)
Pristine Variants of Tusks, scales and teeth are way too rare, Rare!
@fox-gr
Hi I agree about the pristine meg scales and teeth as I have killed well over 50 emergent megs and only have seen 3 drop which were scales, everything else that has been pristine has always been boar tusks. ( these were all in double fights with krakens or skeleton ships)
The only teeth I have had drop have been from the kraken which is now spawn nerfed.
At least make pristine Meg items a 30% chance on random megs and drop the boar tusks from the loot pool.There is no balance in the rarity of these items, it is at such an absurd level that I was going to make a ticket stating that it is a bug until my friend said he got 1 pristine tooth.
Without any exaggeration, I killed more than 15 emerging megs and I didn't even receive 1 pristine megadolon item, the funniest thing is that I received 2 pristine boar tusk for these kills but no meg items
Rare needs to balance this, it makes no sense to kill a meg or kraken and not receive at least 1 guaranteed hunting call item (other than meat), much less kill a creature and not receive its specific loot.
There is also a smaller imbalance between the rarity of teeth and scales, at least as far as journey megs are concerned, these items have practically no difference in sales value and yet the proportion tends much more towards receiving scales than teeth... yesterday I did some hunting journeys, I received 8 scales and only 2 teeth at the end of all of them, I completed the 50 scales but only sold 14 teeth, it doesn't seem very right to differentiate so much the rarity of these two loots when there is practically no difference in value.
I've gotten more megalodon scales and teeth from killing krakens and finding them in boar wallows than I have from killing emergent megs.

@BurnBacon thoughts?
I don't know about teeth and scales but I've put some focus on to tusks and have had relative success.
What I do is Skull of Siren song quests. I've yet to finish the comms for those. But they voyage does have you go to two big islands and one small one. Usually (not always) one of the two islands will have a white boar. Sometimes both will ( if you're lucky). As for emergent wallows those are still pretty rare even when I find boars their wallows are usually empty. But I've gotten 10 pristine tusks already with not that much gameplay. Not to mention emergent Megs will drop tusks as well.
