Ferry of the Damned Player Quest Board (Suggestion)

    HOW IT WORKS
    A quest board on the Ferry of the Damned that does not have generated quests.
    The board is visibly empty till a quest is posted by a player.

    RELEVANCE
    This quest board will allow any player to hand out treasure more effectively.
    It isn’t a timely manner burying things only to search for hours to find someone who might not indulge you.
    Only because your quest will be lost to them on an outpost quest board, buried under generated quests.

    BALANCE
    Add a bronze, silver, gold, or amethyst lining on quests posted by players to show the overall value of the posted loot in quest board menus
    (To show it’s not a waste of time).
    Increase to digging speed for any quest received from another pirate using any quest board
    (trusting a pirate is risky as it is, and digging full time for a castaway’s chest, and an ambush from the map’s creator would suck).
    Wherever it ends up being placed on the Ferry of the Damned, don’t put it in the way of respawning, and don’t have it look out of place.

    PLACEMENT
    I imagine the Ferry of the Damned quest board hanging on a rope net connected to the mast, or the floor peeling up next to the respawn door, but out of the way.
    I’m sure you probably have a better idea for incorporating it, let me know if you’d like!

    I would say as long as you can't post a map from the ferry....
    "Oh no some sweats got me, time to post my maps!!!"

    I like the idea of value indication but outside of comms you're not likely to see anything good lol. I thing Stash/Horde is good enough for that for now.

    It would be awesome if there was a second quesr board next to or nearer the Sovereign towers too....

    Not that anyone actually posts maps that often 🤣

    MAILBOX TO FERRY
    @th3-tater, tbf, you could already drop maps off. I see your point though. What if there was a mailbox next to the outpost quest boards to put the quest on the ferry, one way trip from the mailbox to the ferry?

    INFREQUENT USE
    It is true that people don’t use it often outside of coms, but that’s only because it relies on the players, while not supporting the player interaction enough. I personally like burying valuable treasure for natural tdms, and often use the ferry to advertise the map for it (this takes hours often and I do something else on the side).

    SOVEREIGN QUEST BOARD
    It’d have the same problems as before, but would also be out of the way for players just spawning in, who usually have time to dig up those maps. There needs to be a reason the check it. Since most people use the sovereigns it isn’t a terribly founded idea, but most people get off after selling.

    INCENTIVE POST?
    Making it visible that a player has posted something without having to interact with it is what I think will give ample incentive to even check. The linings on the maps showing how worth it is to do after checking. Should I make a separate post for these things?
