why cant we take guilds clothing to a guildless open crew?
I can wear my guild stuff from higher levels when sailing with guilds of lower levels that haven't unlocked it yet.
You can wear stuff you've unlocked from higher level guilds whilst sailing with your lower level guild BUT if you leave/get kicked from the guild, you'll lose access and have to regain it from the one of the lower level ones again.

Well both of the guilds are mine, so not much worry :p. OP didn't say they were kicked from a guild. They said they couldn't wear their guild stuff while sailing open crew. Unless I misread it.
The problem here seems to be simple the OP wants to be able to use Guild clothes they unlocked even when they aren't on a guild ship at that moment, but still being a guild member.
Which kinda agree that is way too convoluted to not allow people that have unlocked cosmetics to have a secondary requirement to wear those cosmetics.
