I had experienced an organic alliance server which was apparently very rare!
Some guy in our crew exploded all the kegs and we lost the chest of fortune, while we found it funny, we had to brig him and vomited on him for wasting our efforts! He got some money from our Fort of the damned runs till he finally left.

@wolfmanbush a bit of both. It was flexible. But also not totally safe. It was a 4 or 5 ship alliance, and some came in to fight us, I recall.
The CoF just disappeared when we came back to the loot pile (only about half of it was left)
Shot ourselves out to confirm it was missing and so was the chest of legends.
I envy you for being able to get into an alliance server. I wish I could get into one cuz it's what I wish would happen more often, AKA alliances. I actually just had a great alliance today and I'm about to make a post about it cuz it's worth writing about.
