"Pay 50k - get a lot of shipwright's resources" button.

  • If you really want to fix that shipwright bug, can you please add a button to pay a lot of money for a lot of resources?

I get that people abusing bugs to get absurd resources isn't very good for the game overall, but there's a huge reason for that - without huge stack of resources, you can't have fair chances against other crews who have a lot of resources stacked simply because they started playing hourglass earlier than you. Thanks to december 2022 HG hotfix with floating resource barrels, crews who have success in hourglass end up stacking a lot of resources which gives them a lot of advantage because they don't have to worry about running out of resources. They can play safe, reset if necessary, etc - they have more opportunities and room for maneuvers, their mistakes aren't that costly, their win condition would often mean they just need to outlast enemy instead of overwhelming them with pressure and sinking them.

It's not really fun to spend half an hour looting outpost, forts and then still be unable to compete with a crew who has won a bunch of matches. Or just get completely unlucky and be destroyed and waste a lot of time literally in vain.

On top of that, removing a way to quickly stack resources makes a lot of people not want to queue into HG because of how long preparation takes & those who want to participate, will spend much more time doing that. That'll result into even longer queue times and smaller player count overall.

People already pay a lot of gold for resources, just let them do it legitimately.

  • There are already waaaaaaaaaaaay too many resources in adventure mode, which incentivizes and enables server hopping. Supply advantage should always be with the pirates that invest in a server by playing on it, not by pirates who just look at server after server for that FoF or FotD. The game needs to go back to its roots as a PVEVP sandbox and stop catering to the instantaneous gratification urges of the PVP-only pirates.

It's not supposed to be fun to loot an island for 30 minutes because it's not what you're supposed to be doing. Buy a storage crate, loot the outpost, raise an emissary, complete a sea fort, loot the sea fort, do a voyage, loot the island, see a ship, go attack it, et cetera. You know, adventure in the open world sandbox pirate game. Not just hop server, hop server, hop server, oooo a fort of fortune, buy 50k of supplies and head on over.

  • @lordqulex LordQulex when people don't play the game exactly the same as he does:

  • The key to HG supplies is not having enough skill to outlast your supplies...

    Trust me, this works :)
