I cannot believe after the big fight with the Kraken it automatically moves you forward past a barrier that cannot be returned though.
Did the fight, went to bio, got back and I was on the other side of a barrier, without the chest.
That is the single lamest dungeon feature I can recall in all my years of gaming.
If I return to the checkpoint will I be able to get the chest?
I don't think so. Pretty sure the Kraken fight is the checkpoint. Are you waiting on a reply before going ahead or did you quit quit/finish already?
@pithyrumble Thanks, no I went ahead and finished, its a long run solo and the reward for the chest is not something I would use anyway.
It is frustrating though, after a boss fight is when people usually take drink/bio breaks. IMHO Rare needs to adhere to some basic industry norms.

There is a part where you have to go in a secret room for a commendation and need the chest, did you get in there?
Nope, that is the part I missed, I had the chest all ready to go, but it teleported me out without it.

It's also an awkward tall tale to do with a crew, because as we found out, if the whole crew doesn't go through the initial barrier all at once, everyone outside is trapped outside until they die.
Crew would have been nice on the capstan, OMG hectic :)

Oh yeah the capstan part was real nice with the crew.
Just we spent the first few minutes trying to get our last guy inside.
That was all complicated because by some huge coincidence, a sloop was doing the same tall tale at the same time, but they got attacked by a skelly sloop which our guy on the outside helped them with at the cost of the skoop (and storm, real bad luck) sinking our brig.
Also pretty sure we blocked the sloop's progress because we never saw that guy again.
But we did confirm on their table that they really did have the tall tale down.
