The Storm

  • Just got to get this off my chest. The storm is cool. The storm makes sense. The storm adds environmental authenticity. And yet....I am so tired of the storm. It feels like it is everywhere. It makes a bee-line to every outpost so there is a 50% chance I'll start the game in a storm. As I write this posts a storm is on a direct course to my outpost. There is just something about I just can't like anymore.

I wonder if slowing down it's traveling speed yet making the storm more violent would help? I can't believe its path is random since it hits all outposts so often. Maybe the path can be randomized more? Travel to the roar perhaps.

    Any other suggestions?

  • Look up “SoT storm tracker”
And you can plan ahead of the storm :p

  • @rikjaxx the storm’s path is predetermined over so many irl days. Look up SoT storm tracker and you’ll see exactly where it’s going. Fully mapped out :)

  • Slowing it down would make it potentially be more of an inconvenience by loitering where players want to be for longer.

I do want to see the chaos of putting the storm in the roar.

  • Just gonna drop this here. No need to google.

  • I hate the storm as everyone does, considering its supposed to be there as a troublesome hazard i think that means rare is probably happy with it. But i would be lying if i didnt say that some times the storm does good for me when questing or starting off in it. People avoid it so much that they will probably not even come near you if you are in it, and starting off in it gives plenty of time to stock up safely.
