I was thinking that Rare should release a gold purchased specific cosmetic set for people that spend a certain amount of money in the Pirate Emporium and call it the 'Pirate Emporium Merchant' set. What're peoples thoughts? Could encourage people to spend money in the game (which supports it) and you also get something exclusive! Could be a win-win?
Pirate Emporium Commendation Cosmetic Set?
I dislike this idea for the sole reason that many people struggle with proper financial boundaries and I wouldn’t like to see something that promoted spending real world money for a status symbol.
Although I’d like to live in a world where we think people have self control and don’t let pixels dictate their personal worth, this is unfortunately not reality.
I've seen a lot of variations of special reward for money spent
and I've never overall thought to myself that it served the community or many of the individuals involved, long term
a lot of risk creating that sort of social system and I have yet to see much of a positive community outcome from that system in place
@abjectarity ikr look at the people who threw a tantrum that old cosmetics where coming back making them "not special" anymore
