This isn't a complaint about storms or such, but when sailing west the fact that waves always push you slightly off course (because they go nw to se) and its not at a consistent rate (feels like to me) so not even like you can have wheel slightly right of centre to offset the waves.
Even if this were just for solo slooping as any other time it's reasonable to expect someone to stay on helm but trying to send ship in right direction while island hopping for supplies is just slightly annoying due to this feature.
