So in the pirate emporium and more I see costumes. A costume is a set of clothings that you may not edit or change. I think of it like a on and off switch, for example I’m a merchant costume, now I’m not.
I want to offer this idea of a costume is a bundle you can earn or buy in sea of thieves. Let me explain, If I buy a costume in the pirate emporium I’d get the hat, pants, shirt, jacket, etc. all separate thing that I could equip. If I like a hat and the eye patch of this costume, and not the pants and the shirt. I can wear something else.
You may be wondering “but wait in the emporium there are funny looking curses like the splash tail one”. My idea is to make those curses earn able like all the other ones, for example: splash tail curse you get it on lvl 50 hunters call, shrouded ghost curse when you kill the shrouded ghost once or twice.
In my opinion it would make costumes wayy better than what they are now and I’d most probably buy few maybe even many costumes (like as a bundle of clothing) so I could wear the jacket of this cool bundle and the pants of another. Imagine buying ship cosmetics but you can’t vary it so only DA ship or only bilge rat ship cosmetics. Make pirates as ships where you can make it look very personalized.
Side note: I know there is the reaper costume and the reaper captain one (the one where you need to do fotd 25 times) you could make the reaper mask a beard and the hood a hat (the mask as a beard like the the midnight blade mask and make the hood a hat. Then the reaper captain you could make it a type of curse.
Overall I’d LOVE this feature and I think many will too. I think it would make the pirates in the seas more varied and cooler, and this is a great marketing style where people would love yo buy these cosmetics. It could take a bit of work but I believe it would be worth it. it would make so many pirate cosmetics better (especially in the pirate emporium).
