  • @galactic-geek going into much further details when it comes to the stuff you can do would just be overcomplicating things, you know how to fish? great then do it, if that's brown then take it off the stove, shoot yourself there, grab random stuff there and there and do it all over again. Limited to things like these...

  • @galactic-geek Yet the human nature isn't made that way for most.

@galactic-geek I've been doing it for 3 years and it's beginning to be a little bit of a backpain, I suppose like 90% of the things in this forum I'll be ignored and have to keep on blindly doing it over and over again

You know you're not forced to play, right? Joe Neate doesn't hold a blunderbuss to anyone's head urging them to play.

  • @hijack-hayes he is 👀

  • @flamenoir4280 now ain’t that an image. Lol

@ghostpaw You're blaming the feature itself for being added, as far as I'm concerned it's your crew to be blamed for this then. If that was a problem that means the devs wouldn't have implemented it properly to prevent that issue.

Adding more tasks to keep the crew occupied is not needed. They have given us stuff to do while sailing already. There is actually a lot to attend to in the few minutes it takes to get from island to island. You might have a point if a journey lasted 30 minutes or more, but unless you have a lot of things going wrong, even getting from Sailor’s Bounty to somewhere in the Roar is about 15 minutes or less. And that isn’t a journey people would make that often. In the meantime people could be fishing, cooking, stocking up, watching for threats, watching out for floating treasure and explosive barrels, and so on.

Playing cards is never an option I gave either

You actually didn’t really give any options. Just vague ideas. What? Mini games to swab the decks? Complex systems to load the cannons? What are you looking for?

BTW, see how helpful it is when someone quotes what they are responding to? Help us out here. It is getting hard to connect your replies with what you are replying to. It will help us discuss this more.

I feel like you're ignoring all of the things they have added in those 3 years.

  • @ghostpaw sounds good ^^
"They have given us stuff to do while sailing already." I bet they wouldn't mind doing it again then

" In the meantime people could be fishing, cooking, stocking up, watching for threats, watching out for floating treasure and explosive barrels, and so on." And that's my point about it, it's fun and all for a couple of years but then it just becomes a back pain and nothing more

  • @ghostpaw "You actually didn’t really give any options. Just vague ideas. What? Mini games to swab the decks? Complex systems to load the cannons? What are you looking for?" Looking to get my point through, something that's both good and productive, a new mechanic, I don't have anything I want to add to the game I just want to give ideas Rare could go from because whatever I say there'll always be a downfall to it making impossible to be added to the game. So just start off proposing the idea and let the community discuss what's the best for it

  • @galactic-geek Ressources, lookout, and that's pretty much it. But when it comes to things like these my crew would already be enough to tell how it was gonna go, like I'm always thinking : resources are primary for a fight, but the crew is all that you have. In one hand you've got open crews who I'd stack up tons but we'd sink to anything at all whatever I tried doing (and no, I saw the guys coming). And when it comes to serious sessions w/ my lad, we'd already be pretty much stacked up on everything and other crews were the resource providers (especially since the addition of crates to buy at the outpost).
It doesn't feel like it changes the outcome that much...
