I was thinking about this for a while now but today I got the chance to share it with others. The ability to write notes to other pirates in a bottle (message in a bottle) and being able to place it in a barrel/storage crate or just floating in the water other pirates to see and read. The bottle will only stay on that server so only the pirates on that server can find it and specific locations, example you wrote the message and placed it in a storage crate, now a pirate has to find that storage crate and is now able to read it. The point of this is to be able to make a small note to other pirates about some helpful tips or like to tell a joke. The message will have a filtering system so some words will be blocked like the n word and other bad words. I hope you liked this suggestion! have a great day!

My thoughts exactly. It'd be a cool little immersion thing but would definitely make the worst voices in the community louder.
That said, I've got no issue with getting rid of those people ASAP so maybe its not a bad idea...
We can already use text chat. I fail to see how exactly this would be any worse - just force a signature, so the reader knows who to report.
And remember - the opposite is true. Positive, uplifting notes, or thank you notes, are still very much a thing. I would leave notes at the end of my voyage with my storage crates, telling the other crew to enjoy them and to have a GG, from GG. 😅
@wolfmanbush If you have no issue. Maybe try upvoting a new idea for a change. Sounds fun to me. And there are note writing systems in other games.
