Row boat buttons

Yeah, they changed the interaction prompt for the rowboat storage a good while back but, in my opinion, they changed the wrong prompt. The issue was always with the sitting prompt.

They try to maintain parity between K&M and controller where possible, and keep accessibility in mind, so I can see why it's a tough one to sort out.

I can see why they didn't change the prompt for the rowboat bench to the same button as the storage chest as that would interfere when attaching and detaching the rowboat from ships. It would also interfere still when using a storage crate on the rowboat, or switching weapons on the rowboat (controller specifically).

A possible solution could be to bind certain actions to two button combos but allow the ability to revert it in the accessibility menu for those who have trouble with it.

Or simply make it the same as sprint, seeing as that's rarely going to clash with it, as you tend to sprint only when you are already in motion, and you're usually standing still when trying to sit in the rowboat.

Altho i understand your idea it probably won't be added.
Opening the chest with the diffrent button F went to R on PC. This was done so u could open the chest without sitting.

If u now change sitting to R aswell so u can pick loot and sitting have a diffrent button than u force back the chest and sitting again both on the same button. Which was the original problem for what they changed the buttons.

On PC they should allow the Alt or Ctrl key to select the next contextually available thing. So, if I have a bunch of chests on the seat of the rowboat, and the first F prompt is to sit, then Alt (or Ctrl) + F would switch the prompt to pick up any one of the chests.

They should have left the chest "F" and put sitting on the bench to "R"

They should let players map keys as they see fit, like the other 99% of PC games.

Personally, I think they should just remove it as a seat altogether. It would only allow for 3 pirates, but then again, the captain always goes down with the ship, am I right?

I think the right solution would be to make the storage chest in the row boat "F" , like using a barrel, and the benches become "R". so you can always pick up loot ("F") from your row boat without accidentally sitting on the thing.
