Game Version Mismatch Error

    I just now tried to get onto the game and it gave a game version mismatch error, I checked, doublechecked and triple checked for any new update or what-have-you. Nothing. So as of now until it is fixed, I am stranded outside of the Sea of Thieves. Send assistance.

    There was an update today, so you should have downloaded something in the last few hours.

    I'm assuming you are on xbox.
    Had same issue... restart your xbox, leave it off for a moment or two.
    On restart the "update" should kick in.
