You should make it so people can make there own name hidden from other players. I've watched a multitude of people stream sniped in 2 days. This would be a simple thing and protect streamers a bit more.

@captain-coel You can hide other player names on your game, but you can't change how other people see yours. If they do not hide the names, they will always see your gamertag no matter what.
I doubt they are going to add any way of hiding your name from other people, because that just makes reporting problem players much harder.
@d3adst1ck I could have sworn they made it so you could turn gt into the random things, but still appear on the recent players list
I enjoy watching streamers, I have a few favourites I keep tabs on including the master tuckers for their heads up (thank you). Some are genuinely entertaining and very droll with it, others are just very very good.
The flip side of this coin is that the streamers often have armies of viewers spamming servers to find high level Athena/Emissary quests and FOTD etc and they then invite the streamer to take over their ship.
This could be viewed as not entirely fair also on the same moral scale although it makes for very thrilling viewing sometimes! Granted they never seem to bother Captain Bloggs going about their daily business with lower level quests.
But for somebody that does that sort of shenanigans to disapprove of stream sniping would be ironic so don't stick up for 'em!
@emzx99 what does server hopping have to do with the OPs issue. The concern is that a streamers GT is viewable by others on the server and nearby. this allows you to look up their stream and see what they are doing. server hopping doesnt do anything for this.
