    On your desk there is a journal that you can pick up and interact with.

    You can type your entries up or agenda for the session or even draw doodles on the page using the cursor.

    You can pick it up and place it on shelves etc or drop it.

    Dropping it into sea causes it to respawn at original location

    Other pirates can add stuff to it too.

    Its a good little way to establish crew rules, roleplay, tell new crew mates what what ur doing if u dont have a mic.

    You can even hold the book outwards to show them what youve typed or drew. Nothing gets the messsage across like when an angry captain threatens to brig you for disobedience by drawing a pic of you in the brig with red letters saying STOP.

    But yeah, lots of uses.

    Personally i would just write ny encounters and read it all back before i logged off.

    Very good item for the Emporium Shop, it's not necessary and not pay 2 win. That will make a lot of money for Rare so that's awesome!

    This would be of no use for the majority of Xbox players who don't have anything to type with and don't have a cursor. It would be nice for PC players but if it doesn't also work easily with Xbox, it's not going to happen.

    I play on xbox and i actually had it in mind for that.

    Just like when you rename a the text box appears and u can type.

    I type fast, however dont forget u can use mouse and keyboard on xbox too.

    As for doodling, well, how hard can it be to have a cursor controlled using analogue sticks to draw by hand? Cant be that hard.

    I supported them when i bought the game. If they want more support from me then they need to give me a salary.😂😎
