In the future? Simply record and report. It's really not difficult to do, I promise. It's a lot better than this convoluted system of voting "good" to those who sunk you (like anyone would do that in the first place 😂).
Players would probably be more likely to abuse this system and vote “bad” to players that sink them. Having a moderation team accomplishes this and prevents abuse of the system.
Also, if you don’t want to download anything, both Steam and XBox gamebar have clipping options that can be set up in only a few button presses
^^^ +1 Exactly what I said. A voting system would punish innocent players (if you sink a ship, you can vote them "bad"), it would be exploited to no end, it would hurt players who sank you fairly (since after voting them "bad", the value of the treasure they took is now reduced), players would see their gold earnings affected (gold is already easy to earn in the first place, except OP's idea hurts the amount you earn), and it just creates a community that downvotes each other into oblivion....all to save OP the trouble of record/report.
A few button presses are too complicated.
You show again and again that you are incapable or unwilling to read. There is no reduction and people that abise the system are easy to be cit out of the rating ig you understand Statistics.
And as said before watvh ovrr your own horizon please. Not everyone can and will record. For example consoles. Expecting third party tools to allow people to play your games is plain wrong. And even if someone is banned, it is prooven that ban evasion is a thing that people do.
"If you dont sink then that is a Choice but aside from the vood behavior points you will loose out on Gold from their loot.
And the rating is easily fixed by letting the player select specific behavior when rating. Like talked nice in chat. And as said if someone consistently only votes bad their vote might be worth less than someone that votes good and bad equaly. That is easy to build something like that into a system."
I sail over to a ship, to see they've hidden stacked treasure below. I sink them. Because I caught them off-guard, they vote me "bad", so if I sell their loot now, "you will loose out on Gold from their loot."(--quoted from you), making selling their treasure pointless to me then. Even though I "talked nice in chat" and wasn't toxic, I'm still to be punished with reduced gold.
A newer player has voted "bad" a number of times now, because they keep getting sunk by other players. "And as said if someone consistently only votes bad their vote might be worth less than someone that votes good and bad equally. That is easy to build something like that into a system."
Is this correct here? Or am I lying and not reading again?
