At the heart of Sea of Thieves has always been player interactions, no matter bad or good the social aspect was clearly the main focus. I know steps have been taken to improve social interactions within the game but it is still far from perfect in fact it’s almost nonexistent in a sense especially good interactions.
Typically players shoot first and ask questions later. But this suggestion will hopefully help.
Like I have previously suggested, a social hub imo is very needed, I would love to see the Sea Dog tavern turned into a social hub, this hub can be accessed from the main menu, instead of setting sail straight away you can visit the hub first then set sail from there. The hub could support the same amount of players as would be allowed in adventure, some expansions need to be made to the tavern to fit us all.
Allow crews to partake in challenges, events, and voyages together launching from the hub, this gives players the opportunity to meet new players and work with would be enemies to achieve the same goal.
Some of you will disagree, a lot of you hate the idea of alliances, PVE etc, but the fact of the matter is, that is precisely aiding in SoT’s demise. I love a good PvP battle, but if all we do is fight all the time everyone gets burned out, there needs to be balance.
We are currently in a loop, every session feels more or less the same, we need a breath of fresh air and I think we will get that with interactions outside of our crews.
