I won't play this game again until that set becomes obtainable, makes absolutely no sense you expect people to pay real money for a ship set yet lock the clothing behind being forced to watch streams.
NO Twitch items should be unobtainable in game, stop locking exclusivity behind a third party website not everyone wants to use nor should be forced to use to unlock game content, its unfair.
Add the set to the emporium, its a very reasonable thing to do.
Not touching sea until its added.

Why is the content exclusive to begin with? its incredibly feasible to offer emporium items in these twitch drops not unique unobtainable items that the streamers don't even have to do anything extra to get.

If I said add them for free to the games shops for gold all the high and mighty lords and ladies that have them would complain that their "earned" items are available to others as they always should have been.
Adding them to the emporium A. stops people being forced to use Twitch and B. keeps those that would otherwise complain from complaining since they got the item for free and the rest have to pay, whats broken about that logic?

I'm annoyed at the fact there are items out there locked to twitch only. I would rather pay real money that be forced into supporting a streamer I do not care for.
I do not support the system of Rare giving a unique set for free to streamers and then giving them free publicity by forcing other players to watch that streamer to unlock said unique set. All content should be unlockable in game either by achievement, shops or emporium. Twitch prime drops are available in the emporium, why not the drops for watching streams too?
I am protesting simply because I didn't get the gloves or belt when I absolutely could have, if it weren't for an absolutely stupid reason - false advertising!
I was informed by the Twitch drops section of this very site that it would go through the weekend (that's to say Fri, Sat, and Sun); I got those items. What I wasn't told was that once the weekend was over, it would continue for a further 2 days (the site updated only after the weekend items were released). Once I realized what had happened, I was livid. It wasn't my fault that I didn't get them when I otherwise could have, and I will continue to protest (verbally; not through lack of sailing) until I have what should have been mine in the 1st place.
Since then I always double check, and Rare has gotten better with their site updates, but I'm still upset about it enough to the point that I'm actually considering putting in a ticket, though I don't expect it to accomplish much.

tbh if more people stood up for themselves instead of being spoon fed Rare would have to reconsider how they handle twitch drops, but people seem to far content with being forced onto twitch, background playing or not.
my point stands, no cosmetics should only be obtainable via twitch, its becoming a common thing in many games and I am one to voice my view on it as I think its stupid. People should have to play the game or support the development of the game via purchase to unlock content for the game, not have to watch someone playing the game, it doesn't make any sense at all, it doesn't even help grow the game, Twitch drops have been going on for years and the game still has around the same playerbase even after Steams release, it does not bring in new players hardly anybody watches SoT streams normally, so locking content behind Twitch and forcing players on to it to unlock said content is a lame attempt at making the game seem more popular than it is. Its false, fake and I hate it.
and yes while it is entirely optional to pay streamers some end up doing so anyway and I have seen some games offering content only if you pay a streamer directly via a sub, which is putting money in a streamers pocket to unlock in game content, something which is beyond ridiculous and I fear this game could head the same way with this twitch drop obsession thats been plaguing the game for many years.
and I got more than one reason to not play this game which is far from being childish, the twitch exclusivity is just a cherry on top.
Twitch Drops are designed to get players watching streams.
This in turn makes Sea of Thieves trend higher on Twitch.
If it trends higher, more people will watch the streams, see the game and potentially give it a go.
Some are tied to Partners, because they are the ones Rare trusts to represent the game in a way that’s positive.
Twitch Drops are essentially our bonus for partaking in a promotional push by Rare. It’s a trade - a little bit of our time to get the game trending higher.
Whether you like streamers or not, streaming is part of modern gaming culture and a large portion of this community frequents streams. Personally, I would say a lot of them are very positive and worth giving a chance, rather than painting them all with the same brush.
I don't think you not playing the game is going to make Rare add this, hell you don't even play the game anymore so why would they add it for you?
Legit that's the whole point of time limited items, and if you don't like the ship still being available then why don't you complain about that instead? And like... Not buy the ship set?
You're asking for Rare to say "Oh hey look this is time limited" and then come back a year or two later being fully dishonest saying "I lied, here you go everybody get your nasty hands on these!"
That seems much less reasonable when you put it like that right?
