so recently i downloaded sea of thieves for free, and got banned
and i requested a ban appeal and they said i need to buy the game
i bought the key for the game and activated it and its working
but im still banned
i already sent an email but they said i need to buy the game
but i already did
what should i do?

Yeah, if you aren't buying a legit copy from a legit source, you're not getting unbanned lol.
keys from key sites like that are generally stolen/hacked/illegetimate, and may already be banned or will be if they aren't. And further, the devs aren't getting paid for any such illegitimate keys.
Seriously man, if you like the game enough to keep playing, give the devs the money they deserve. If you were a dev and you weren't getting paid, wouldn't you ban the guy scamming you?
The only legitimate ways to obtain the game are from the Windows Store or the Xbox store, or by having game pass.
Your best option is to contact support again, no one in this forum will be able to help you on this matter.
As for key sites, they are generally speaking not that much of a problem. Many people I know did not buy their game on the MS store and they are day-one-players without ever having been banned.
@offrise72 maybe respond to your previous ticket with the message that you now have the game or make a new ticket, they might ask for the information of your copy and purchase, so have that ready and they can tell you what they can do for you.
It is up to Rare and support is the only way forward if you want to resolve this, good luck with your appeal and maybe we will see you on the seas.
