Sea of Thieves: Crashed Sails

    Avast ye scaly wags!
    Well, you know what's happened to me today maties?
    I've tried to play the game 8 times and each time in different Fashions it's crashed. (#CrashedSails)

    Sometimes during the loading screen, other times during sailing... it always finds a way to crash.
    Never saw a Skeleton Ship today, tried to investigate the odd stuff going on at Golden Sands but no luck there. (Hint: More Crashes)
    Tried restarting and hard restarting the console but still crashing left and right.
    I decided to stop trying because nothing was working... I was wasting my 🕥.

    It's really too bad cuz the stuff Crashed Sails is offering looks awesome, just can't play it. (Really wish I could)

    I love the time & work Rare put into this content update but unfortunately it's unplayable right now. (For me anyway)

    Anyways hope Rare finds all the bugs causing the crashes but that'll take at least a week.
    So I'm hoping Crashed Sails will be extended for another week.

    Have you been experiencing game crashes from the Cursed Sails update?

    I just finished talking to SoT Support.
    I told them that I believe some people's copies of the game have been corrupted and they seemed to agree with that conclusion.

    Try uninstalling & re-installing the game if your experienceing lots of crashes.

    @sgt-palooggoo weird... i played 8.5 hours non stop and had 1 freeze when i got killed while reading a journal, other than that it ran perfectly smooth and my other crewmates didnt crash at all the whole time

    The crashes Might be linked to certain servers.

    Playing with a friend of mind today and I've crashed about 5 times. I'm the only one that does. Mostly happens while steering the ship. Crashed once while loading back in too.

    Haven't seen anything from Rare. Didn't have any trouble before Cursed Sails. :|

    One crewmate crashed then spawned back into the brig. We voted him out but he had no inventory. Half our ally’s crew crashed out.

    Im in the brig now. Listening to my crew fight because i crashed and tried loading back in for 15 minutes to only get long beard messages. Then i finally load in but im stuck on a loading screen, i can hear everything though. I waited over an hour trying to find another crew to do this with and then this happens. Rare get your s**t together.

    I played 8 hours. We could join the servers rather quick. Buying things was kinda bugged because all servers were kinda 'ddossed' on all the people joining. But after a little while everything became calmer and more stable. Played on Europe server.

    I didn't encounter a single crash.

    @sgt-palooggoo ive reseted my modem and everything was fine tonight but thx 4 help ^^ maybe gonna be usefull for someone else

    My man crashed and reloaded as a skeleton so that was neat but frustrating. Our sloop allies crashed out and there went our alliance near the end of the wave spawns in the Wilds. That was just frustrating. Especially for the allies who put in all that work just to have it yanked away.

    Hi,

    I'm playing on Xbox One and for some reason my game is crashing lot of times.

    Most of the time my game crashing right after I joined a game. Almost always when I finally join a good crew… That I can't join after.

    Last night, I sailed for about 2h taking ressources from island and doing voyages. When we were almost full, we decided to join the battle against skeletons ships and everything was going well. We were at the last wave and… CRASH!!! I tried to join the crew again, but look like my place was already taken by another random.

    I really think that crash and disconnection are a real issue to the game. First of all, you loose everything you've done and there is no way to retrieve your chests or other items. Secondly, most of the time your place is already taken by a random guy…

    I think the game should make sure that when it's a crash or disconnection (not by your fault), it should keep your boat or your place in the crew for at least 5-10 minutes for you to join back. When relaunching the game, we should have a prompt saying "Do you wish to join the crew you were in?" or a message like that. Just press YES and you are back!

    Uh-oh, that's not good.
    I've finished downloading SoT again.
    I'll see what happens.

    Yes. I almost missed out on a commendation because of this. It crashes at times when you try to load in from the death boat into the skeleton ship battles and sends you to the home screen. :(.

    YES!
    Totally agree on that. Rejoin-Function should be standard in any multiplayer game.
