Im wondering if anyone has found anything on the moaning sound heard through out the game? Is it simply part of the soundtrack or does it mean something? A friend and I initially thought it could be a possible Ghost ship that's roaming around. Now we realize that's currently not a thing (Perhaps with updates) but were still curious of the noise.

It's a cool sound though. Would be nice if it meant something and we could track it down somehow.
that's the thing that bothers me so much about it lol it's DIRECTIONAL. i wish i had the time to try to track it.
Things like that are part of why this game feels so incomplete. They say it's about the journey and the exploration. So hey, mysterious sound, let's check it out—and, can't find the source. Hey, underwater cave, let's explore it—and, it's empty. Hey, mysterious symbols, hey, cryptic NPCs, hey, old journals... all seeming to amount to a hill of beans thus far.
@nunoazuldimeter I would love to see a ghost ship. Something endlessley cruising around at night. either something to battle with you ship, or find a way to board it and it would hold a new kind of chest. Something ghost related, Spectre Chest

I wouldn't aim for that.
Probably if there's a ghost ship it might be stationary and work like raids.
Because devs said so many times there won't be NPC ships sailing on the sea.That's my thought on this supposed ghost ship.
About the kraken, there's only an Xbox achievement about facing it.
And never spawns on Sloops. Only Galleons.
And probably Galleons with treasures, or when are other people nearby.
But it's really random.@nunoazuldimeter I have the achievement for beating it and I'm on PC. We were indeed on a galleon it was a 3 man crew, but we repelled him and I have the achievement as does the other two that were on that crew and one of them was also PC
