  • We don't deserve you @Musicmee

  • @psych0-knightro Hahaha :) You do! I am here for you alll.... hehe.

For all your Sea of Thieves needs!

  • @musicmee
You and @ionei-falcon posted this within seconds of eachother.

  • @thor-von-blitz Great minds think alike... But I think @IOnEI-Falcon's post has a bit more flare than mine.

Was just about to edit/remove my post but then noticed @IOnEI-Falcon ninja'd his :( Sooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyy.

  • Now that we know the devs are giving love to the skeletons in game, maybe Captain Bones can come out of hiding again!

  • Yay! A new behind the scenes! I love this video series. Keep them coming!

Well then i'll need a shipment of everything bagels, a framed pug meme of your choice, and a few bottles of rum wouldnt hurt would it 😎👍 haha

  • @a-cranky-eskimo On it ;) .... shipping could be expensive! I hope you are based in the UK!

  • So that's all? The only enemy AI in the game will be the skeletons and sharks? That would be quite disapointing.

  • @adridactelo There has to be more right? We have seen ghost pirates in the game trailers... maybe they will pop up at some point.

I think Rare are keeping their cards close to their chests or have lots planned for after launch.

  • @adridactelo I think this video was solely focused on the skellies, which doesn't preclude the addition of other NPC dangers.

  • @adridactelo Well the video was titled Skeleton AI, not all AI in the game. We haven't even seen all the different types of skeletons yet so I am sure there are more threats to be weary of. I am still waiting for this fellas debut:

  • AI was one of my biggest issues I hope to the sea gods they vastly improve in this area.

  • @ionei-falcon Ooooh, I hadn't seen that one before!

  • @musicmee hahaaha, its ok but man you really are there for this community, its like music to mee ears.. lol and that video just made me feel a lot better about how the ai will progress. how they perceive players better now and how they described the boss fight designs and plans is what i have been hoping for, they can have skeleton with a flintlock or rifle when its added appear on the ridgline or have a blunderbuss wave that has flintlock support, etc etc. if they did some system like the ones in left 4 dead or alien isolation where an overarching ai can randomize and react to new things that affect the ai on the ground so to speak that would be awesome too.

Yeah, but the conclusion that came out of the video is that this is what will be released and that will add more things in the future. If at least the skeletons had powers or something that made them different between them but there is nothing that points in that direction, the only difference is the weapon they wield.

As @Musicmee said, Rare showed ghosts in the Comic-con 2016 but they have not talked about them since then. They even showed ghost ships:

  • @ionei-falcon I was rewatching the comicon video from 2016 today and he was named as Gold Hoarder and described as slowly turning to gold - perhaps he's guarding some of the higher level chests?

  • @katttruewalker He also has a golden face like the gold hoarder that was recently announced... It does seem like a very plausible connection.

  • I'd love to see a class of skeletons that function as a "tank" and spend most of combat chomping down on bananas. Something about a skeleton eating food to restore health just cracks me up.

  • @musicmee There were some amazing things shown in that video, the merpeople as well as different skellies and ghost captains :D

  • @katttruewalker There were! None have seen the light of day yet... Maybe they all have a story to tell which is why they are under wraps for now.

  • @musicmee @KattTruewalker @Adridactelo

you guys remember the broadsider handheld cannon from fallout 4?

Yeah, a real big skellie holding one of those would definitely be an interesting encounter ;)

  • Skellies just got their first dlc... Lucky skellies...lol

  • @Rare-Employee
Will the AI of skelly’s allow them to hide behind cover? I don’t like the idea of them popping up and not doing anything out in the open

  • @djm-xr07 Aye.. I remember it well...

  • @djm-xr07
I'd be totally on board with a Heavy Bones Cannon wielding Skeleton, that be hilarious! 😂

  • @djm-xr07 and @KattTruewalker
Wait?!? Did that cannon just launch a cat?

  • Goliath Skelly with a Cannon is a great idea for a mini-boss type character.

As for other potential AI....there is still the Kraken to come, and in addition to the Ghost Pirates (and if they are going to be enemies), what about this character:

    and this one:

And I'd love to see AI Enemies other than Skeletons and Sharks as well, such as other creatures.

Can you imagine a swarm of crab creatures on the beach, that due to their hard shells are mostly impervious to basic physical attacks (swords and firearms), and the only way to defeat them is to flip them over with your shovel to expose their vulnerable underside?

Something like these from Monster Hunter albeit a lot smaller (about the size of a chest)

    I sure can.

  • @knightx13 Speaking of crabs...

New escape prone cursed chest idea?

That is, the possibilities are endless, that is why it would be so disappointing if the only enemy IAs are the skeletons, sharks and the kraken.

I know that they will add more in the future, but at least give us something more to fight against at launch! D:

  • random note....not sure how recently this was filmed, but I also have my Christmas party hat hanging from the corner of my computer monitor haha

  • @knightx13 this is why we need explosives to push back hordes of crabs back into the ocean.

  • @DJM-XR07 and @KnightX13 Those are some really cool, and very fitting ideas for the SoT world.
For the first time ever, I guess I'd have to say, I'd be down with having crabs!
I do like the flip them over idea... And the crawling away chest...lol
Ever wonder if Joe reads these and goes to the Dev team like, Hey! I have a great idea!

  • @musicmee Love the work! Keep it up! :D
