This is basically a way of loading into ships stocked with supplies for what you are planning to do. Almost everything I mention is already in the game and all of it is accessible to anyone regardless of level. I’m not suggesting any major additions to the game, just ways of starting a session suited for your play style. If your crates are stolen you can scuttle your ship and the new ship will respawn with them, the stolen crates will de spawn(unless you think they shouldn’t?).
Here’s the different ships you can load into. All are standard Galleons equipped with supplies for their intended purpose. Each Galleon loadout can be chosen from the menu and has a little side window explaining its contents and its benefits. If your crates are stolen you can scuttle your ship and get them back. The crates look slightly different from their naturally spawning counterparts and can’t be sold. The gunpowder barrels can only be sold as part of a merchant voyage(they look different than normal gunpowder barrels just as the crates do). Every time the quests reset you can get a gunpowder barrel from the merchant if you have a Buccaneer or Smuggler loadout.

30 Bananas
30 Planks
2 Gunpowder Barrels

Voyager

40 Bananas
30 Planks
Cannonball Crate

Smuggler
30 Cannonballs
50 Bananas
30 Planks

Every time the voyages reset at 6 am you can pick up a whole new set of crates from the merchant for your Merchant/Athena voyage in case you lost your’s
Purpose: Merchant Voyages and maybe Athena voyages
I think this allows one to make decisions based on what they plan to do. I believe it is also in line with the games stance on not giving anyone a way of gaining an unfair advantage since all have access to the loadouts and make their own decisions. I know I just made resources significantly easier to acquire but I believe making resource gathering a lengthy, menial, task was a mistake and this is not the type of game where that’s embraced(Minecraft). The same concepts can be applied the Sloop, Brigantine, and any other ships that are add in the future. Feel free to voice your opinion, I’m well aware my specific plan could be faulty but I think my approach could work.
